Hello! Iām Jane, an animator and artist from Ellicott City, MD.
When I was little, I watched princesses dance across the screen on painted backgrounds, and I was drawn in by the stories, the colors, and the movement. I drew and painted almost entirely by hand until I got to college, where I first started learning how to animate. I discovered the power of storytelling and how much I enjoyed it; I could make my characters go anywhere and be anything, even if that was just a girl in a bathroom.
My passion is environmental storytelling with an emphasis on color and design. I also gravitate towards slice of life and character-driven stories. My relationships and experiences have shaped many of the stories I have written, and I endeavor to make films, characters, and worlds that feel tangible to the people watching them.
I believe there is so much to learn from daily life and the people around me. With continued learning, I will strive to develop and expand my craft across many genres and styles.
Currently, I am working towards a BFA in animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology. While studying at RIT, I am also participating on the Division III Women's Lacrosse team.
